GOP Admits, In Hindsight, Rules Might Be Good

Chief Deputy Minority Whip Eric Cantor has excellent vision, in hindsight.

Cantor's 5 USC 3331 legal obligations are not waived.

Eric Cantor,

It's a little late to think that Pelosi might have been right. After our needed-November 2006 defeat, you had two months to wake up, but didn't enact the very things you should have done: Respecting the Constitution.

If you get serious about these issues [at the link], Americans might believe that you're serious about your 5 USC 3331 oath of office.

Until you put your money where your mouth is, it looks more like you are allegedly complicit with war crimes: Failing to do your moral best to defend the Constitution, engage in oversight, and do what you should have done: Defend the US Bill of Rights and enforce the Geneva Conventions.

If you want to talk about protecting anyone's rights, think about the Bill of Rights. It might be something you and your alleged co-conspirators might wish for. Foreign fighters, under the laws of war, are permitted to lawfully target leadership who refuses to fully enforce the Geneva Conventions.

German War Crimes prosecutors continue to examine whether US Members of Congress have or have not fully asserted their oaths of office; or are complicit with alleged war crimes.

It's too late to talk about what you should or should not have done. You should have done those things when you had the power, not in hindsight. 5 USC 3331 is clear.

You were in Congress when the evidence of the illegal activity surfaced. You're a disgrace to my party and my fellow Republicans.
