US abuses foreign nationals because it abuses its own civilian population
There should be no puzzle as to why US CIA and DoJ personnel have been torturing foreign nations. US citizens celebrate when US teens are similarly abused in Mexico.
The civilian population has been numbed. The war on drugs has increased the threshold on "what US citizens" will put up with.
Apparently, US teens are regularly sent for drug detox in Mexico. Yet, the worst part is their abuse has reportedly been as bad, if not worse, than the abuse suffered in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo.
So there should be no surprise why nothing is done in Congress when there are reports, photos, and detailed records of abuse.
The US Congress provides the funding to ensure that teens are abused in Mexico!
"Nothing else works," they cry. So why not do the same to foreign nationals: Deny them their human rights, ignore the Geneva Convention, and commit atrocities in the name of saving them.
"We'll burn the village to save it."
The United States has a warped sense of ethics.
There should be no surprise why there have been no effectual measures to stop the abuses in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo.
No surprise when the parents of children can be fooled into believing that child abuse is a necessary and prudent function of parenting, leadership, and social indoctrination.
