Americans calling for Isikoff to be tried for Sedition

A sign of failure is when they shoot the messenger. A sign of a legitimacy problem is when leaders rely on accusations, not facts.

Read about the Americans who want to shoot the messenger.

There's one small problem: Allegations Rumsfeld knew of and directed the misconduct have not been addressed; and Rumsefeld has not disputed any of the memos. These official memos have not been challenged.

The 10 May 2004 memo, introduced at the 2005 Govermental Affairs committee hearings:

Chertoff Denies Knowledge

U.S. SENATOR SUSAN M. COLLINS (R-ME) HOLDS HEARING ON THE NOMINATION OF MICHAEL CHERTOFF TO BE SECRETARY OF HOMELAND SECURITY, February 2, 2005 Wednesday: Memo written to T.J. Harrington, Division 13 of the FBI

LEVIN: During your tenure as head of the Criminal Division at the Department of Justice, did you ever become aware of the issues raised in this document involving FBI personnel witnessing DOD interrogation techniques at Guantanamo Bay that were contrary to FBI techniques?

CHERTOFF: Well, let me say this: First of all, I don't recall having any discussion about techniques that the Defense Department was using in Guantanamo other than simply the question of whether interrogations or questioning down there was effective or not.

CHERTOFF: I was never informed or had no knowledge at the time -- again, I want to take out of my head things I've read in the paper recently -- about any use of techniques in Guantanamo that were anything other than what I would describe as kind of plain vanilla.

Now we know that the techniques were not "plain" vanilla.

Chertoff denied knowledge of the treatment, so where was he during this time. Is Chertoff in a position to be brought back before the Committee to refresh his memory on the memo?

Also, there are multiple people who can confirm the Koran was defiled:

  • Former military personnel assigned to Guantanamo confirm the Isikoff story; and

  • Multiple former Guantanamo detainees have independently confirmed the Koran was defiled.

Rumsfeld wants Americans to be quiet, not ask questions.

    Don't look behind the curtain

  • Where's the WMD?

  • Where's the victory in Iraq?

  • Why the problem with military desertions?

  • When will the Americans start a draft?

It's all a fantasy. There's torture going on. Isikoff knows about it. It's called rendition.
