Michael Moore asks slackers to pledge to vote despite threats of arrest

In his nation-wide "Slacker Uprising Tour," Fahrenheit 9-11 filmmaker Michael Moore hopes to mobilize voters. Moore defines slackers as those who are over 22, were eligible to vote in 2000, but did not.

The Academy-award winner and winner of the 57th Cannes Film Festival Palme D'Or is not asking slackers to vote for a specific candidate when they are asked to pledge to vote.

At stops around the country, Mr. Moore offers self-identified slackers in the audience a day's worth of soup and clean underwear if they simply pledge to vote, prompting prosecutors to have him arrested.
