No. Given US miltary forces are stretched thin, the nightmare scenario is to have Iran launch a pre-emptive strike into Iraq, at the very time that Taiwan rattles its sabres.

Tawain seems not to realize that they have little support. At the same time we have the prospect that Iran may fear something. The US cannot cover both theaters. We shall see what diplomacy the US is able to conduct.
