Retrograde leadership: They dig deep into history, but ignore much

Retrograde leaders are those who dig deeper into history to justify their misconduct. They turn and twist through the treaties to point to clauses that "justify their position."

Isn't it interesting that they find it easy to go to history to "justify their position", yet suddenly "when the talk turns to the constitution," they claim history is irrelevant.

History is relevant when it comes to justifying wars: Just war theory, geneva conventions, and the constitution.

Next time someone digs into history to justify misconduct, tell them to keep digging until they find the constitution.

History applies, not selectively, to all.
